Motivation and the Educator
This paper explores the effect of the educator on student motivation. The goal of this paper was to determine the ways in which a teacher influences their students. Three articles were examined to view researchers’ theories on motivation in the classroom. The research detailed in these reports came from varying methods and sample areas. Multiple surveys, questionnaires, and observational methods were used to gather information. A common theme in each of these research articles is that it is how the educator handles their classroom and connects to the students that have the strongest effect on student motivation. Further research is being done in these areas to help teachers gain a better understanding of what they can do to contribute to student success.
I intend to take what I learned from the research I did to write this paper and apply it my own future classroom.
