Who I Am.
I am from a little town in Southwest Saskatchewan called Shaunavon. I love to spend time with my family; my Mom, my Dad, and my two younger sisters Robyn and Paige. I have always loved working with children. Whether it be babysitting or volunteering at local events geared towards children and keeping them occupied during events that were more mature. I have attended summer camps since I was five and when I was old enough, I jumped at the chance to take on staffing positions. I love working with youth of all ages and that made the decision between secondary education and elementary education a difficult one. I decided on secondary because we have the opportunity to focus on a major and I have always had a fascination with the sciences.
I am strong in linguistic, interpersonal, and visual-spatial intelligences as well as Intrapersonal and logical-mathematical intelligence areas. A weakness I have in learning is that I do not remember any auditory information unless I write it down. I learn best by doing, seeing, and making connections – seeing how things relate to each other.
Most of my free time is spent reading, hanging out with friends, watching YouTube, or occasionally working on whichever small art project I set up for myself. I love to travel. I have been to Norway, Italy, France, the U.S. and to almost all the Canadian provinces. (Though none of the Territories yet.) A few of my goals for the future include traveling more and experiencing new cultures, learning more about graphology (the study of handwriting), and learning to become a worthy educator.
